• This is one of the most photographed icons on the planet. The statue of the Christ in Rio, Brazil.

After searching for something original, I got it! What I love about this image are two things. 1 - its silhouette, and 2 - the statue seems to be a part of the people, within the crowd.
Arms open wide
• I really love this timeless minimalist image through a sculpture, by the sea in Brighton, U.K. It feels like we are looking into another world.
Looking though

I love this shot. I added an artistic element to the image. The ships out at sea make a striking image. Especially with the sun reflection in the ocean.

• Old Jakarta train station, Indonesia.
After exploring the station, I went up into the station controllers office. I found this view of a train leaving the station is very original looking through the window. We see that either side of the tracks the homes of the local people who until not long ago lived within the station itself before it recently opened after it was derelict.
Train Tracks
• Where: Arequipa, Peru.
Classic Paris
• I took this shot in Vientiane, Laos.
It's of a decorated buddhist temple interior. I do ask myself a question, however. Is the photo about the intricate decoration, or the fan?
This said, I love the intricate and yet simple idea to this image.
Decorated
• Where: Cafe, Jakarta, Indonesia.
It is interesting taking a photo of a photo. Although this is taken with a fish eye lens, which makes it special.

• Where: Madura island, Indonesia.
A portrait of a local boy playing on the beach.
A boy's smile
• Where: Havana, Cuba.
I used a very special technique for this image. I had my assistant hold a light just off to my right. Hence the bright flash. I just love what this image is about. The people, old car, the dog, the 0% beer. I simply had to visit Cuba, before it all changed. These people and members of Havana car club.
Go for the show

Old Cuban guy

• Where: Havana, Cuba.
Evening shot inside a local taxi. I love the zoom feel to this image. The eye searches for a point to rest. Finally we come to rest on the reflection of the driver in the mirror.

• Where: Cuzco, Peru
Portrait of a local lady
Story to tell
• Where: Cuzco, Peru
Here I used a long time exposure of my camera on a tripod to get the blurred people effect. I wanted the image to be about the street, the architecture and the people, not just the people.
Busy street
• Where: Peru, Salt mine
This is a real example of what the master Sebastian Salgado shoots. Great locations, deep blacks, interesting people.
I love the rough feel to the miner. What a difficult life he may have.
Salt miner
• Where: Cuzco, Peru.
I took various shots of the street. Some with people, some without. I like this one of the vehicle passing. It creates kind of angles to the image.
Still Rollin
• Where: Cuzco, Peru.
As you get to know my work, hopefully you notice I endeavour to create an interesting photo out of a well photographed subject. Hence this central church in Cuzco, I decided to take the old Spanish doorway from an unusual angle.
Closed door
• Where: Cuzco, Peru.
Thank you for the great photo too.
Hands
• Where: Cuzco, Peru.
I have various shots of this wall graffiti. I like this one with the Cement line at the top of the image. I feel it 'grounds' the image. Also the message from the scratched lady and the torn poster sends a profound message.
The lady on the wall
• Where: Papua New Guinea.
I got some great shots of these boys jumping into the sea. They didn't even care about my camera. They were having so much fun.
I love the idea of not being able to see the boys faces.
This is an award winning shot. First place.
Before the jump
• Where: Jakarta, Indonesia.
The 3 - 2- 1 adds interest for me in this image.
3 rickshaws, 2 windows, 1 man.
A passer by
• Where: Jakarta, Indonesia.
Downtown there are many abandoned old Dutch buildings. I love the shot with the two boys, and the contrast of light and shadow. This image has a peace to it but is somehow disturbing at the same time.
A time alone
• Where: Madura island, Indonesia.
I got low down and close up for this shot. I had a bunch of decorated cows behind me, cow driver and traditional band in front of me.
I was not injured taking the shot :)
Beach band
• Where: Venice, Italy.
The stillness of this shot, angles and the line tension make a great photograph similar to the great photography masters of old. Fantastic black and white
Lines of living
• Where: Morocco, desert.
In this image I love the contrast between darks and lights. The reflection on the wooden roof beams are excellent, Great angles. An I think it really tells a story of the location.
Old Fort
• Where: Venice, Italy.
I say again, this is why we need to look up. Great lines coming together with the lamp almost looking at us in then middle. Then the reflections in the windows are excellent too.
